1.0mm² 6242Y Grey – Twin & Earth Cable 100m

Twin and Earth is a name for a type of Mains Electricity Cable, and is the most common cable for domestic wiring today. Comprising of 1 Live (Brown) and 1 Neutral (Blue) sheathed conductor, and a Earth which is of the CPC type (Circuit Protective Conductor) which is bare. The Overall sheath is of PVC Construction to BS6004.

nThe 1.0mm Conductors are Solid , and rated in normal conditions at around 14 Amps, this particular size is common with very Lighting circuits. Also available in 25m, 50m and 100m Coils.

nNot suitable for unprotected use outside as the outer sheath are vulnerable to attack from UV, however Alkyd paint is enough to protect it from UV.
